Open Access and Archiving Policy

Open access is the practice of providing unrestricted access via the Internet to peer-reviewed scientific journal articles. Open Access maximizes the opportunity for publications to be read and for authors to be recognized for their contribution in their chosen field and beyond.

The periodical "Bulletin of the Institute of Oriental Studies" and the Institute of Oriental Studies of NAS RA signed the declaration of BOAI and joined to the Budapest Open Access Initiative.

“Bulletin of the Institute of Oriental Studies”  is a peer reviewed OPEN ACCESS periodical. Peer review is realized under the responsibility of the Editorial Board. The reviewing procedure is the following: after the initial screening of the manuscript and in case of approval the editor anonymously sends it to at least two scholars for reviewing. In some cases the editorial team may request for a third review before making a final decision on publication. All articles published will be immediately and permanently free for everyone to read, download, copy and distribute.

Bulletin of the Institute of Oriental Studies periodical issues get archived in the National Book Chamber of Armenia (4 hard copies), at orientcpnme.am,  elibrary.ruPan Armenian Digital Library and archive.org (soft copies).
